This is totally OT, but I saw your comment on 4 Hats and Frugal about the TV Live that you bought and burned your DVDs to. Can you tell me the manufacturer and where you got it? I tried googling but failed. My hubby and I have 600+ DVDs and that sounds like a perfect solution since our 18-month-old son keeps getting into them. Thank you!! Liz
Sure, its Western Digital TV Live. I bought it from Amazon. http://www.amazon.com/Western-Digital-Network-ready-Player-WDBAAN0000NBK-NESN/dp/B002KKFP9Y/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1262984839&sr=8-1
Then I bought a Seagate 1.5 TB External Hard Drive from Amazon too. http://www.amazon.com/Seagate-Desktop-External-Drive-ST315005EXA101-RK/dp/B0025KXMKS/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1262984897&sr=1-5
So I just burn the DVDs to our computer using DVD Cloner but there are alot of other ones out there. Then transfer to the Hard Drive. I have the hard drive connected to the TV Live and it pulls the movies from the hard drive then. I also software (can't think of name now) that pulls the cover images of the movies from imdb or somewhere and it saves it so when TV live is going thru the list of movies you are seeing the front cover of the movie and all. Its a pretty neat set up.
