Every Wednesday night, Baumgartner's makes ribs on the grill out back.  The meat falls right off the bone.  Delicious.  It's also a cheese store!!!  Check out their website here.

What's for Supper??

The other weekend I made these chicken strips up and flash froze them.  What does that mean?  I did everything up to the point of breading them, then I put them on a cookie sheet and stuck them in the freezer for like 20 minutes to freeze them quick.  I then took them off the cookie sheet and put them in a freezer bag to make for a quick weeknight supper.  Hubby is at home today with a sick boy, so we'll see if he does a good job making them!!!

My sad trip to Target

After an awesome trip to Target last week where I made a profit of $30, today was not so good.  I went to get Oil of Olay total effects body wash.  I saw it was $3.97 on another forum...well not in my store, it was $5.50.  So I passed on it.  I went to get Tresemme hairspray that was suppose to be $.97 and after the $1 off Facebook coupon it would be free.....well my store again didn't have hairspray at this price.  What I did get was a bounce dryer bar for 50 cents, Scrubbing Bubbles Power sprayer that I paid $3.96 and then got a $5 gift card back, and Pampers baby wipes for 39 cents each.  Then I decided to be bad and bought some clothes for me and the boys!  ;-)

What deals have I've been getting this week?

Every day this week I've hit up Walgreens.  I started with buying the Dove Men's body wash for $5.99 and a filler item that is at least 50 cents.  I used $1.50/1 coupon and a $5 RR I had left from the other week. So depending on the filler item oop is only tax or whatever your filler cost and get a $6 RR back.  Then I used the $6 RR along with the $2/1 huggies coupon to buy huggies.  Huggies are $8.99 on sale and you get a $3 RR back.  So $8.99 - $6RR - $2 coupon = 99 cents.  You need to buy a filler item again.  Then I use the $3 RR to buy the body wash again with the $1.50 coupon and so on.  So I'm getting a lot of free diapers and body wash!!!  Oh and I also bought Orbit multi-pack gum.  Its not advertised but they are on sale 2/$3.  Use the $1/1 coupon to make them 50 cents a multi-pack!!

**Note:  The diapers are even a better deal if you have any $1 off coupons from the Walgreens Activity Book.  I don't have any left, but its still a great deal without it!

Yummy! Popcorn!

I don't know about everyone else, but I think popcorn tastes so much better when you pop it in air popper or something else.  I really don't like microwave popcorn anymore, it has a different taste to it, etc.  Well anyway, I just took a brown paper lunch bag and put about 1/4 cup of kernels in it, folded the top twice and put it in for about 1 1/2 minutes in the microwave.  (that is right no oil!)  Sure enough the kernels popped up and I had fresh popcorn in my bag.  It was so delicious and I'm thinking doing this is even cheaper than buying the prepackaged microwave popcorn.  Try it out, its definitely worth it!
